This role will lead and support the engineering of AV systems for a variety of projects while working closely with Owners' representatives, landlord/facility managers, government agency representatives and inspectors, other design professionals, internal project managers and design staff for all kind of spaces including Critical Facilities, Sports & Entertainment, Healthcare Facilities, Airports and government facilities throughout the country.

AV / Multimedia Senior Consultant (Technology Design Engineering)

Job Responsibilities

As an AV / Multimedia Senior Consultant you will lead programming activities with key client stakeholders including the development of budgets and developing programmatic requirements with clients and stakeholders. This role will manage the AV design production and create AV floor plans, riser plans, elevations, sections, and control diagrams and technical specifications.

You will partner with our engineering teams to develop and oversee construction documents for the procurements and installation of AV systems; including CAD drawings and book specifications.

Additional Responsibilities: 
  • Represent Firm in all interactions with clients, contractors, architects and other project team members
  • Design large projects, prepare reports and specifications, and provide a very high level of technical leadership. Perform calculations, equipment selection, equipment specification, system design, system layout, field investigation, and construction administration.
  • Provide consulting engineering services including preparation of due diligence reports, gap analyses, feasibility reports
  • Assume responsible charge for the overall economic wellbeing of your projects and establish project budgets and schedules
  • Participates in various trade organizations and prepare presentations and conduct business development activities
  • Perform staff resource management and review, where necessary


AV / Multimedia Senior Consultant (Technology Design Engineering)

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree from accredited university in Engineering – preferably in audio, electronics, electrical, control or acoustics or equivalent relevant work experience
  • 6 – 10 plus years’ of design experience in the Technology / AV consulting field in a variety of markets including critical facilities (data centers, call centers, trading floors, etc.), healthcare, aviation, sports and entertainment, corporate interiors, and educational facilities
  • 3 – 5 plus years of experience in Project Management
  • Detailed knowledge of audiovisual design with some IP network knowledge and other low voltage system design
  • Knowledge of equipment from various manufacturers to make proper selections
  • Ability to create and manipulate drawings in AutoCAD is a requirement; REVIT design experience with renderings, preferred
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and organizational skills a must
  • Certification such as CTS and/or CTD-D, highly preferred
