Project Coordinator

We currently have an exceptional opportunity for a self-motivated Project Coordinator to join our Los Angeles, CA office. The Project Coordinator is an integral member of the project team responsible for delivering engineering design services for building construction projects of varying size and complexity. The Project Coordinator is responsible for organizing and controlling project activities, under the direction of a Project Manager and Project Director. The ideal candidate will have strong multitasking and organizational skills, and proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team based environment.

Project Coordinator additional responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with PM in the drafting and issuance of project proposals, RFP’s, tenders, budgets, cash flows and preliminary schedules
  • Act as a liaison at a higher level on projects
  • Responsible for tracking/monitoring project budget under direct supervision of the PM
  • Oversee project organization and communication charts
  • Manage the progress and quality of work being performed by design disciplines/trades
  • Oversee Contract Execution Tracking Log
  • Collaborate with PM to review sub-contractor quotations to ensure that only fair and reasonable pricing is recommended for approval
  • Manage contemplated change notices and change orders in the database
  • Manage all required project close out documents and ensure all sub-contractor documentation is obtained

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Organizes and express ideas and information clearly, using appropriate and efficient methods of conveying the information
  • Manages difficult issues with a clear head, finding the solution most beneficial to all concerned
  • Understanding of architectural engineering and construction industry, a plus
  • Self-directed, able to multi-task and work with minimum supervision in deadline-sensitive environment
  • Ideal candidate thrives in areas of initiative, quality of work, customer focus and troubleshooting 

Project Coordinator

Job Requirements
  • Associate’s degree in Architectural Sciences, Civil Engineering, Project Construction Management and/or experience supporting Project Mangers in the delivery of building construction projects
  • 7 plus years’ experience as a project administrator, coordinator or a similar role
  • Previous relevant experience in the architectural, engineering and construction industry, a major plus
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Intermediate proficiency with Adobe Acrobat
  • Knowledge of Deltek Vision, a plus 
  • Flexibility for occasional overtime to meet project deadlines is required
